We would like to share an important update regarding changes within our business, the Skoda dealer network and the wider Volkswagen Group.

As part of a new global strategy, Volkswagen Group announced it will restructure its dealer network impacting on all volume brands. It is their response to the significant changes facing the automotive industry, with the transition to electric vehicles, increased digitilisation and new brands entering the market place. This will significantly affect Skoda and its franchise holders in the UK. It is a global initiative, but Northern Ireland has been identified as one of the first markets to implement the changes.

In the new strategy, VW will significantly reduce the number of companies representing their brands. Future partners will represent multiple Volkswagen Group brands across a reduced number of locations. As a result of this new approach, from 30^th November 2025, Mervyn Stewart Ltd, will no longer represent the Škoda franchise in Belfast and Bangor. The changes will not impact on any customer who has a vehicle on order or a booking in our workshops and one of our team will be in contact to finalise arrangements.

We want to take this opportunity to warmly thank all our customers for their loyalty and support over the years. It has been a privilege to serve and share so many great times with you. Many of you who have visited our showrooms recently will have noticed we have introduced MG at our locations in Belfast and Bangor; this has enabled us to secure the employment of our staff and move forward positively with one of the fastest-growing car brands in the UK.

We invite you to visit our showrooms to discover the new MG range, we will continue to offer after sales support and quality approved used cars, including a selection of vehicles from the Škoda range.
